About

Christy is an Australian Designer and illustrator with a passion for lino-carving and block printing. Born in South Africa, Christy felt drawn to travel and live around the world on a design and sketching journey. She's now working from her studio in Melbourne.

Having worked with various client groups, her diverse skill-set is showcased in works with non-profits, start-ups and small companies looking for a face-lift, through to having worked with larger companies, Synergy Design Group, The Hastie Group and Accenture.

Christy attained a Fine Arts Degree - in Graphic Design, from Florida State University, USA. Working with graphics and illustration, alongside her sketching, printing and lino-carving, she continues to develop personal creative projects.

Having also worked as a sketch tutor at the ErinHill Studio in Sydney. Her passion for sketching and exploring brings her out and about in Melbourne with sketchbook and pen at the ready. In early 2020, she will attain her Master Aromatherapist Diploma from The Australian College of Aromatherapy, with specialisation in Holistic Herbal Therapy and Aromatherapy for Palliative and Aged Care.

In recent times, Christy attended local craft markets to showcase her block printing and other art projects. In extension of this, The Running Rabbit Store was born and is currently hosted on Etsy, showcasing personally designed + hand-carved + block-printed products and artwork. Soon to be featuring aromatherapy products and accessories.
